Chlorfenapyr is de structuur van nieuw pyrrole insecticide, acaricide. Het heeft een uitstekend beheerseffect op insecten- en mijten. Het is effectiever dan cyhalothrin, en heeft een sterkere acaricideactiviteit dan dichloorbicol en tricyclic tin. Het middel heeft de volgende kenmerken: Breed spectrum insecticide, acaricide; het heeft zowel maagtoxiciteit als tentaculaire effecten. Geen kruisresistentie met andere insecticiden; het had een matige restactiviteit op gewassen. Het werd selectief opgenomen door wortels in voedingsoplossing. De orale toxiciteit voor zoogdieren is matig, en de transdermale toxiciteit is laag.
Toepassing en functie

Agricultural Chemical Chlorfenapyr Insect Killer Chlorfenapyr Pesticide Insecticide Chlorfenapyr Werkingswijze insecticide en acaricide met voornamelijk maag en wat contactactie. Vertoont een goede translaminaire maar beperkte systemische activiteit in planten. Gebruikt de controle van vele soorten insecten en mijten, waaronder die die resistent zijn tegen carbamaat, organofosfaat en pyrethroïd insecticiden en ook anticontra-antistoffen, in katoen, groenten, citrus, topfruit, wijnstokken en sojabonen. Onder ongedierte die resistent is tegen conventionele producten die worden gecontroleerd door chlorfenapyr zijn Brevipalpus phoenicis (leprosemite), Leptinotarsa detemlineata (Colorado aardappelkever), Helicoverpa spp., Heliothis spp., Plutella xylostella (diamantachtermot) en Tetranychus spp. Ook controle van vele soorten structurele en huishoudelijke Formicidae (vooral Camponotus, Iridomyrmex, Monomorium en Solenopsis), Blattellidae (vooral Blatta, Blattella, Periplaneta en Supella spp.), Kalotermitidae (vooral Incisiteritermes) en Rhinotermitidae (vooral Reticulitermes, Coptotermes, Heterotermes) bij gebruikspercentages tussen 0.125 en 0.50% a.i. w/w. Fytotoxiciteit geen fytotoxiciteit waargenomen bij gebruik in het veld. Formuleringstypen EC; SC.
